Here are all the 4th-week highlights for the month of October.
As it has been confirmed that BBL 2020 will take place on December 3, several teams have already started to sign up some players to add to their lineup. Among those who had been signed is Mohammad Nabi who was re-signed by the Melbourne Renegades and BBL first-timer Dawid Malan who signs with the Hobart Hurricanes.

Meanwhile, several upcoming cricket events had also been confirmed this week. One of these is England’s tour of South Africa which had finally received its go signal from both cricket boards. With that, the two teams are expected to play three ODIs and three T20Is from November 27 to December 9.
In a similar manner, India’s domestic season, the Ranji Trophy, has also been discussed by the BCCI. With that, it has been announced that the season will be held starting January 1, 2021.

To date, the 2020 season of the IPL is still ongoing. Despite being in the middle of the season, some players have still been signed by different teams as a replacement for the injured players. One of these is Tim Seifert who has signed up with the Kolkata Knight Riders as a replacement for Harry Gurney who had sustained a shoulder injury. Another is Pravin Dubey who signed up with Delhi Capitals as a substitute for Amit Mishra who sustained a finger injury.

So far, the Delhi Capitals and the Royal Challengers Bangalore are both at the top of the points table after having secured seven wins out of their ten matches.
